Tool rental safety

We prioritize safety for DIY homeowners and pros. Many tools include safety videos. You can also request a teaching session to learn proper use.

Read the manual

Before using any tool, read the owner's manual or watch the safety video. Each tool has specific hazards.

Wear PPE

Wear safety glasses, hearing protection when needed, gloves for handling, and closed-toe shoes. No loose clothing.

Inspect before use

Check cords, guards, blades, and switches. Report damage to the owner before use. Do not use defective tools.

Know your limits

If you're unsure how to operate a tool, request a teaching session. A verified pro can show you safe use.

Battery safety

Most handheld tools we offer are battery-powered to reduce cord hazards. Charge batteries in a cool, dry place.

Return in good condition

Clean the tool, remove blades/bits if applicable, and return on time. Your deposit is refunded when the tool is returned undamaged.

Per-tool safety videos

When available, each tool listing includes a safety video. Watch before you rent. We recommend confirming you have watched the video before booking—this protects you and the tool owner.
